Nicolas Jaboulet wasn’t deterred from reclaiming his family’s legacy in the Northern Rhône after his hereditary estate, Paul Jaboulet Aîné, was sold in 2006. He has since partnered with fellow Rhône winemakers such as Guillaume Sorrel, Alexandre Caso and the Perrin family and started acquiring coveted old-vine parcels in Crozes-Hermitage, Tournon and St.-Joseph, as well as planting new sites in Cornas, Côte-Rôtie and St.-Péray. His label, Maison & Domaines Les Alexandrins, is dedicated to organic farming, and senior editor Kristen Bieler has been impressed by the wines. Get her breakdown of these exciting new additons to the Rhône and the story behind how they came to be.
